Discounted Professional Headshots For Charity

Hey young world. I've been away for a minute but it's been for good reason. As most of you know "This Time" is gearing up for it's film festival run, so that has been keeping me pretty busy lately. Not sure if a lot of you know this but our film "This Time" was done in association with the non-profit "Our Fallen Soldier". This company provides mental and financial assistance for families have lost a loved on to war or are helping to car for an injured soldier. As much as this war gets pushed to back of newspapers the effects of it are still very real for many families.

I've been thinking of some creative ways to raise some money for this non-profit. Recently I've picked up the hobby of photography and I feel like I got some skills now and I had an epiphany. Being a director and the fact that I feel confident on what makes a good headshot I am going to provide professional headshots for charity!

$50 for headshots for one look and $100 for three looks. It's a tax write off and you know you need some new images! The goal is to raise $5,000 for "Our Fallen Soldier" in the next two weeks. I'll provide you with retouched final images.

Everyone needs professional images. Models, actors and regular folks as well. Instead of just asking for a donation I'm going to provide a service in return. April 15th is the deadline. The goal is to shoot 100 different people in 15 days. Help me achieve this goal. Atlanta only (for now). We'll have other fundraisers coming up real soon.

'This Time' Selected To Be The Closing Night Film Of The 2010 Ricon International Film Festival In Puerto Rico

Today our short film This Time' was selected to be the closing night film of the 2010 Ricon International Film Festival in Puerto Rico on Saturday April 24th. We will be representing the USA at the closing night dinner on Saturday April 24th at The Lazy Parrot in Ricon, Puerto Rico. The film screens at dusk and will be followed by the after party.

  'Narrative Short by Matthew Cherry and starring Reagan Gomez.  This Time" is the story of, Kevin (Michael Moss) a recently returned Iraqi War Veteran and his quest to win back his one true love, Cheyenne (Reagan Gomez).His first night back in town he meets up with his friends and finds out that she is engaged to a successful business man, Daniel (Sinorice Moss) and is to be married the very next day. Kevin runs into Cheyenne and her sister, Janet (Terri J. Vaughn) and confronts her about her decision forcing her to make a choice.   
Matthew Cherry and Reagan Gomez and other cast members will be in Attendance.

'THIS TIME' 2010 BOSTON INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OFFICAL SELECTION

Peep the email I received today: March 21, 2010 Dear Matthew Cherry,  I am writing to inform you with great pleasure and excitement that the Boston International Film Festival has accepted your film "This Time " to be screened at this year’s film festival (2010).  The film festival will be held from April 16th through April 25th at the Loews Cineplex / AMC, here inBoston, Massachusetts. Please reply to this email at your earliest convenience in order to confirm your agreement with the acceptance notice. Then we'll follow up on the details of the screening. We strongly encourage all filmmakers and actors to do their best to attend the festival.  This can help ensure the festival’s success, as it will aid in promoting the festival.  Your presence would also allow for a “question and answer” period following the screening, which would enhance the overall experience of the festival.  We are looking forward to a great film festival this year, and we will be sending out materials by the last week of March, regarding screenings, seminars, parties, and advertising. If your movie is a feature, what we need from you in the meantime is a one minute trailer of your film for television promotion. Today I submitted 'This Time' to 4 new film festivals. G.I Film Festival in Washington D.C., USA Film Festival in Dallas Texas, Los Angeles Film Festival and the Rincon International Film Festival in Puerto Rico. Wish us luck. We'll be submitting to many more. Hope we get into some of these.
